Mini Reviews | 1-3

There’s plenty of book I read that I never get around to doing a full review of. Either because I don’t feel like I have anything to add or I just left it too long. So I thought I’d revisit some of those books from this year.

Top 10 Books of 2017

I read a total of 110 book this year, and there were some really great ones. These are the best of them.

Honorable Mentions

Before we commence with my top 10 here’s a couple of honorable mentions.

Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel was a re-read this year, and it’s solidly placed it into my favourite books of all time. Meanwhile Force of Nature by Jane Harper was a close contender for my top 10, except it’s not due for release until 2018 in the UK. My post on the blog tour is coming in February.

Wrap Up: August 2017

After a weak July, I had a mega reading month in August! I had a week off from work, and spent it reading on a balcony over looking the sea. Bliss!

2017 TBR

While I don’t make monthly TBRs, I did want to check in with my (huge) TBR list to see which books I wanted to make a priority list for next year. So, here’s 17 books I want to read in 2017!

1) The Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy by Laini Taylor (#2 & #3)

I really enjoyed Daughter of Smoke and Bone last year, so I’m keen to get to the rest of the series. In fact, I’m currently reading Days of Blood and Starlight.

Top 10 Books of 2016

This is a list of my personal favourite books from those I read during 2016.

Honourable Mentions: Coraline by Neil Gaiman, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, Through the Woods by Emily Carroll, Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
