Yes it’s that time of year where everyone sets new goals that inevitably end up forgotten about in 3 months time. And here’s my post!
First lets check in on my goals for 2017. This time last year
I created a TBR, and here’s how I got on:
I read a total of
110 book this year, and there were some really great ones. These are the best of them.
Before we commence with my top 10 here’s a couple of honorable mentions.
Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel was a re-read this year, and it’s solidly placed it into my favourite books of all time. Meanwhile Force of Nature by Jane Harper was a close contender for my top 10, except it’s not due for release until 2018 in the UK. My post on the blog tour is coming in February.

It’s time to review how my reading is going this year!
My overall target this year was 75 books, and I’m well on track to meet that.
53% adult fiction
49% written by women
53% new-to-me authors
So I’ve been pretty even with these so far!
I have no idea how I managed to read 10 books this month! I thought I’d had a slow month, as I also DNF’d 3 books. Anyway, onto the books…

While I don’t make monthly TBRs, I did want to check in with my (huge) TBR list to see which books I wanted to make a priority list for next year. So, here’s 17 books I want to read in 2017!
1) The Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy by Laini Taylor (#2 & #3)
I really enjoyed
Daughter of Smoke and Bone last year, so I’m keen to get to the rest of the series. In fact, I’m currently reading Days of Blood and Starlight.
