I read a total of 5 books in December, and it was a very successful month!
This was a fantastic follow up, one of the few sequels which manages to improve on the first book in the series. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this trilogy ends.
The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger ★★★★☆
I really enjoyed this, although it was nothing like I expected. I’ll have a full review of this coming up soon.
The Dry by Jane Harper ★★★★☆
This was a really enjoyable thriller, and Harper did a great job working flashbacks into the narrative. I have a blog tour post coming up during the week (the book was provided by the publisher).
This was a fun, quick read. It shows snippets of history with notes added from the Doctor with his adventures. It’s definitely aimed at a younger audience, but I enjoyed it all the same.
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie (Hercule Poirot #10) ★★★★☆
This feels like the most well know Agatha Christie novel, and it didn’t let me down when I finally picked it up. Christie’s best novels seem to be those with a surprising reveal that still makes complete sense.
